This issue, our sixth, is the completion of our first year of publishing, and quite a year it was.

The death of our publisher, Jim Baen, the addition of the Hugo award winning Mike Resnick to our editorial staff, a Locus award nomination, a Hugo award nomination, and four "years best" anthology selections in our first year.

Meanwhile, our commitment to our authors, including the most sophisticated electronic slush tracking system we know of, our commitment to new authors, continuing to publish new sf authors in every issue, and our commitment to excellence continue. Our second year, for example, features a story by the first winner of the Space Access Society's Jim Baen Memorial writing contest. Thanks for participating in the first year. Come join us for the second!
